Publications
Aquality has written numerous State of the Watershed reports for watersheds throughout Alberta. We are one of the top contributors to watershed management and reports in Alberta.
Aquality has written numerous reports on the state of water quality in Alberta in peer-reviewed scientific journals, consulting reports and technical memorandums. Our technical writing offers the flexibility of writing for both a rigorously scientific audience and also for lay audiences.
Aquality created the Riparian Setback Matrix Model (RSMM) to help delineate development or environmental reserve and easement setbacks for riparian areas. Check out Jay White’s presentation for ALMS in 2011 to learn more about it: Riparian Setback Matrix Model (alms.ca).
Wetlands Field Guide
Aquality created and published a Common Mineral Wetland Plants of Alberta Guide for Wetland Classification in the Prairie Pothole Region.
It is your guide to easy identification of wetland plants in the Prairie Pothole Region, and what they tell us in the field about wetland classification.
Wetlands Courses
Aquality created and presents two wetland courses:
Alberta Wetlands: From Classification to Policy is a 2-day course in the classroom that teaches you about the different wetland classifications in Alberta and how the province regulates them.
Alberta Wetlands: Field Assessment is a 1-day outdoor course which teaches you about the key wetland vegetation and allows you to put the classroom theory to practice.
