Lake Management

Aquality can design a custom water sampling and management plan to meet your needs. Currently, Aquality is collaborating with two of the largest lake communities in Edmonton and Calgary (Summerside and Mahogany, respectively). We  have been assisting their Residential Associations with day-to-day challenges regarding water quality, aeration operation, invasive species management, and issues impacting human health (e.g., bacterial coliforms, blue-green algae, and swimmer’s itch). We have performed in-lake treatments to control for blue-green algae, to bind nutrients in the water column, and to reduce nuisance plant and algae growth.

Aquality is a strong proponent of the “Clean, Drain, and Dry” campaign, and maintains rigorous decontamination protocols to avoid the spread of invasive species. Whether it’s our waders, backpack electrofisher, or our boat, our equipment is decontaminated using these protocols.
